I always thought at 18 they love to give you credit cards, I’ve tried Capitol One, Chase, a QT credit card, and a Best Buy one. All deny due to no credit history. I obviously can’t get Credit history if they won’t let me have credit. I Work 2 jobs and just want to have one just in case and to actually build my credit. What’s going on and why do i keep getting denied?

My school loans are to be paid back starting in June of 2013. Since I have subsidized Stafford loans, I don’t have to pay anything, like interest, right now. Would paying them back now little by little build my credit? I can’t get a credit card since my parents have no credit and I’m having a hard time figuring out how to slowly build it without being in debt too much. Thanks!

The reason I ask this is because I noticed that when giving her an additional credit card the credit card company won’t ask her data? I need to build-up my credit score. I realised the importance of it very late .And now it is hard to find some financial body who is interested to provide credit card to me . So I thought of buying the master card, the pre-paid one. As I received it I found it has not my name printed on it. Now , I am sceptical if it can really help me to build my credit score.Is there any card that I can buy to serve my purpose ?
